Sam Ryan
Sam Ryan is an Emmy-award winning sports anchor and reporter who returned home to WABC in 2018. She was a weekend morning sports anchor and reporter at WABC in 2002-2003 before moving on to ESPN as a full-time sideline reporter.

At ESPN and ABC Sports, Sam covered many national sporting events including the NHL on ABC, Stanley Cup Playoffs, Sunday Night Baseball, Home Run Derby, Little League World Series, College Football, and the 2005 Monday Night Football broadcasts.

Sam later served as a contributor to CBS Sports' coverage of The NFL on CBS and the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship. She was also a studio host and reporter at the MLB Network and covered the MLB postseason for Turner Sports as the in-game reporter in 2015 - 2017.

Sam was thrilled to co-anchor ABC-7's NYC Marathon Coverage, Marathon Sunday, alongside Ryan Field as one of her first assignments upon officially returning to WABC.

She is an avid runner, having completed ten marathons, including four NYC Marathons. Sam is an NYRR Team for Kids Ambassador and is passionate about promoting youth fitness.

She lives in New York with her husband and two kids.
